Proud to support Nai
This year we are working in partnership with Nai to fundraise for a summer camp for autistic children in Wales. The camp will be hosted by Heronsbridge School in Bridgend for two weeks and will provide an opportunity for autistic children to develop their social skills and have a lot of fun! The camp will also be a lovely opportunity for the children to get their hands dirty and learn through doing in the great outdoors. Gethin Jones heads up the charity, the Welsh TV presenter and rugby enthusiast has a nephew who is autistic. Gethin, along with his friend Sion are the driving force behind this brilliant charity which we are honoured to be supporting.
A note from Gethin Jones
I set up Nai with my best friend, Sion Tudur, with the sole aim of raising awareness and funds to support children and people with autism. Nai is Welsh for nephew. Our nephews don’t benefit from Nai, but they are the inspiration for our charity, they are both autistic. They are one of the main reasons we hold this charity so close to our hearts and why we are so determined to help make a difference. We’re extremely grateful to Princes Gate Water for choosing Nai as their charity partner and enabling this fantastic project to be brought to Wales. The summer camp will be a really positive experience for all children involved in what can be a challenging time for many. As a young charity, we rely on and hugely appreciate the support such as this from Princes Gate Water to allow us to continue and evolve the amazing impact Nai is already having on children and people with autism. I particularly want to thank the Princes Gate Ironman Team for all their fundraising efforts too. What a challenge, good luck!
